Recruitment
Did you know that 88% of the departments in the US are
volunteer departments, and 74% of all US firefighters are
volunteers? Angleton has an all volunteer department and we are always looking for new recruits that are ready to serve their community.
Membership to the Angleton Volunteer Fire Department shall be open to any person between the ages of nineteen (19) and thirty-nine (39) year old, inclusive of good moral character and standing, and who is a resident of the City of Angleton or lives within four (4) miles radius of Angleton Fire Station 1. The age requirement may be waived for applicants with prior acceptable fire service. No person shall be ineligible for membership in the department by reason of race, color, creed , religion, or sex.
If you are interested in becoming one of Angleton's Bravest, please stop by Station 1 and pick-up an application. Someone is usually there during working hours or feel free to stop by anytime you see vehicles outside Station 1.
